MarFlex to supply deepwell pumping systems for Dana Petroleum FPSO

MarFlex has been awarded to supply the Pump Package for the Western Isles Development Project FPSO for DANA Petroleum.

The Sevan Marine’s proprietary cylindrical design FPSO is under construction at Cosco (Nantong) Shipyard in China.

The Pump Package contains electric drive Cargo-, Slop-, Skimming-, Ballast pumps and portable pumps including power pack. The length of the pump systems is approx. 32 mtr.

For this project MarFlex will supply the new API-610 designed pumps. The first and biggest cargo pump with API 610 design was introduced at OSEA exhibition in Singapore last year.

The capacity of this pump is 1575 m³/hr @ 160 mlc.

The Western Isles project consists of two oil fields called Harris and Barra in the UK Northern North Sea and east of Shetland. Delivery of the systems will commence in Q1 2014, to be completed Q4 2014.

FPSO installation is expected in summer 2015. First oil is expected in 2015 and the estimated field life is 15 years.
